American labor policy sucks.

In any event my company:

Work from home if you can. Otherwise, come in or take sick leave, or unpaid time off. 75% of our retail locations are closed down.

We do still have paid sick leave, for corporate at least. I’m not sure if retail worker get it. They were going to issue disaster pay for quarantined workers, but decided they couldn’t afford it.

No PTO through June

No 401k match until the fall

Significant furloughs at corporate and reduced hours at retail

Color me surprised. Also, Houma? Barely first world ... They have a cool tunnel under the Intercoastal Waterway from the early ‘60s though.

The most idiotic thing about cancelling sick time is that YOU A RE ACTIVELY ENCOURAGING SICK EMPLOYEES TO COME IN AND INFECT OTHERS.

They have a parrot mascot, which is kind of cool. Also, they have a CPO Rogue identical to my sister’s (rare configuration). The grammar is not good, though.
